Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 April 2026
1. About This Policy
This privacy policy explains how CraftMobi (ABN holder, operating as CraftMobi, craftmobi.com) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the MyShoutr mobile application and associated services ("the App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use MyShoutr, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: your name and email address, which you provide when registering for the App.
- Profile information: an optional display name or profile photo you choose to add.
- App usage data: information about how you interact with the App, including groups you belong to, coffee runs logged, and tally data.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers used for push notifications.
- Crash and performance data: anonymous crash reports and performance metrics collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us improve the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the MyShoutr service
- Create and manage your account
- Enable group features such as tracking coffee runs and tallies
- Send push notifications related to your groups and coffee runs
- Monitor and improve the performance, stability, and security of the App
- Communicate with you about service updates or changes
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-Party Services
MyShoutr uses Google Firebase for the following services:
- Firebase Crashlytics: collects anonymous crash reports to help us identify and fix bugs.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivers push notifications to your device.
These services may collect certain device and usage information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use any advertising or analytics tracking services beyond those listed above.
All third-party service providers we use are required to protect your data to the same standard described in this privacy policy and in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
5. Tracking and Advertising
MyShoutr does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not collect or use Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or any equivalent advertising identifier. We do not engage in cross-app tracking, targeted advertising, or share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Because we do not track users, MyShoutr will not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on iOS. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your permission before any tracking occurs, in accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within groups: your name, profile photo, and coffee run activity are visible to other members of groups you have joined. This is a core feature of the App.
- Service providers: with trusted third-party services (such as Firebase) that help us operate the App, under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and secure authentication tokens to protect your information. While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
